Former Indian cricketer turned MP and all-time India’s great batsmen Sachin Tendulkar is a true legend both on and off the field. He is the one who always steps up for the shake of humanity and he did it again.
According to a report in Hindustan Times, staff of a Swarnamoyee Sasmal Sikhsa Niketan school in West Midnapore district of West Bengal had written to him, seeking financial help two years ago.
What he did?
He donated Rs 76 lakh to the school from the Member of Parliament Local Area Development (MPLAD) fund. The school was handed the funds last financial year, and now the construction of a library, a laboratory and a common room for girls are in full swing added the report.
