A charity football match between the film industry led by Ranbir Kapoor and Indian cricketers led by Virat Kohli was played at the Mumbai Football Arena in Andheri Sports Complex on Saturday. The match entitled as ‘Celebrity Classico 2016’ ended with both the teams scoring two each.
For the cricketers team ‘All Hearts’ it was Yuvraj Singh and KL Rahul who hit the nets, while for film stars team ‘All Stars’ it was Sircar and Ranbir’s trainer Antonio Pecora who got the success.
Abhishek’s charity ‘Playing for Humanity’ and cricketer Virat Kohli’s charity ‘The Virat Kohli Foundation’ were behind this initiative to raise funds for those affected by the severe drought in Maharashtra.
Despite the result being 2-2 there was someone who emerged victorious and it was the noble cause for which the game was played.
‘Irrespective of the draw the noble cause for which the match was held emerged the winner.’- Abhishek Bachchan after the match
